Don't want to go- Todd
I don't want to go home! I want to go home to see my family and speak more English but. I don't want to because I have had so many new experiences. I've tried new foods, gone on rides I normally wouldn't have gone on, I've met new people and so many more reasons. I don't want to go home!
My experiences in Japan- Heath
My first experience was trying Japanese culture by using Tatami mates. My second experience was trying Japanese school life. It was very hard but I I got through it. My third experience was seeing Japan not from Computers but in person. My fourth experience was traveling around as a big group. That was hard to organise!! Those were all of my top experiences. Hope you liked it.
Japan - Kim
Disneyland yesterday was awesome, even with the rainy weather. My favourite rides were Splash Mountain which I went on twice (we waited a painful 90 minutes in the que) and Space Mountain was so fun! I have enjoyed Japan so much, I'm sad to be leaving so soon. We learnt so many new things about Japanese culture. The food was great, I had Japanese sukiyaki & okonomiyaki. Japanese school was awesome and much different. I will miss Japan and I'll never forget about the experiences I've had.
Disneyland- Sophie
We went to Disneyland yesterday! We all loved it and had a great time. It was really good that we got to go in our own little groups and go on the rides that we wanted to go on. We went on some rides like 'Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain. They were so much fun.
Tokyo Disneyland and last day- Ethan
Toyko Disneyland was awesome! There were so many things to do. I went on Splash Mointain 1 time and Space Mountain 2 times. Space Mountain was so fast, but it was pitch black so you couldn't see what you were actually doing. I just found out that my host family are coming to the airport even though they live 2 hours away from the airport. See you guys on Monday!
Japan Was So Good- Camryn
Japan was absolutly amazing! I improved my Japanese, I learnt about Japanese culture and history, and I just had so much fun. I went to a bunch of cool places like Ghibli Studioes, an origami centre, lots of temples and a river cruise. I also did lots of shopping to get presents and souvenirs. Something I loved about Japan was the food. It was so different but the majority of it was really tasty. I realy liked visiting Tokyo Disney Land, and Edo Wonderland. I got to spend 4 days at Lilyvale Primary School, where I met some great friends and had a great time with lots of memories. I also got to spend 4 days with the Ouchi family which was not long enough. They are all amazing and generous people and I will not ever forget them. I had so much fun and it was a great experience. Thanks to everyone who made the trip possible cause I had the best time.

Ninja day and youth hostel - Camryn
I have been looking forward to Edo Wonderland for so long so I was so excited that we were finally there. The Atmosphere is so cool with a bunch of old looking Japanese buildings, bridges over water filled with carp fish, and people walking around in costumes! We got to wear these cool ninja costumes and it was just like dress ups. We also got a cool plastic sword and shuriken. We saw some amazing shows thith trap doors and stunts, aswell as a slightly less thrilling water show. Something cool we saw that only four of us got to go in was the side wats house. When you walked up the stairs, you had to lean back as far as possibe so you wouldn't fall. We took lots of photos at Edo Wonderland. It was so sad to take off the costumes and leave but I had a really fun day. That night we arrived at the youth hostel. It isn't exactly a 5 star hotel but that's ok. It is extreamly traditional. There is not one room where you can wear shoes and half the rooms have tatami mats. The meels here are really nice hear and the futons are really comfortable. I had a great day, mayde one of my favourites in Japan!
Top 5 favourite japanese foods_Todd
My top 5 favourite japanese foods that aren't in order are: Tempura Shrimp because I love shrimp. Sushi I love the range of flavours. Sukyaki I tried it with my host family and loved it, Okonomiyaki it is a great sweet food to have (not really good for you). Homemade japanese again with my host family.
Japan!!!!
We have left our host families and are in Niko we are staying at a traditional japanese hostel and it is amazing we are having such a great time. Japan is would be such a great place to live. The people have so mush respect for each other and and they are so kind to everyone. We are so excited to arrive in tokyo tommorow.
Branch Out Tour / Kim
We went to Edo Wonderland yesterday, it is a place based on the ninja in the Edo period. We got to dress up as ninja! We watched three shows. The first show was about ninja fighting action and the second also. The last show was about a magic water show. They were very entertaining!
We are staying in the Nikko Suginamiki Youth Hostel. We sleep on futon on tatami (straw) mats. We can shower and bathe traditionally in Japanese style. Today we went to Tosyogu Shrine. Here are some pictures
We went up the mountains and saw Kegon falls. It is a beautiful sight.
Nikko experience Katrina
Yesterday the 19th we went to Edo Wonderland and dressed up as ninja. It was really cool and we got to keep a plastic ninja sword and a plastic ninja star. We watched a parade that people had dressed up in the clothes from the Edo period. We watched two ninja performances and one magic show. They were all interesting. Today the 20th we went to Kegon Falls. It was fabulous. The falls were awesome but it rained while we were there. We also went to Tosyogu Shrine. We are at the Youth Hostel and were last night aswell. It is a traditional Japanese place. Tomorrow we will be going to. Tokyo. I can't wait. I have had so much fun and I can't believe we have already been here for 8 days.
Moutain climbing
Today we wnet up one of the biggiest moutain in Japan or in nikko we saw the first shougon in Japan I donated about $1:75 for a pray also I saw a moutain on a moutain and a huge lake on the moutain that we went up we also saw Kigon Falls there was about 1.8 tonnes of water come down the falls per secound.
My Host Family Experience - Sophie
My Host Family
I really enjoyed my host family experiences and had great fun. They were so nice to me. I would really love it if they came and vistited us in Australia some day. I had fun with my host family, but I have got to say the highlight was shopping on the last night. We got some gifts for my friends and family but I still need to buy some more. Someone who really added to my host family experience was my host sister Sana. She really tried to help me during the stay, and I really appreciated it. She just helped me through it. They were very kind to me as they cooked me lots of nice meals, for breafast and dinner, so I am very thankful. I enjoyed it very much and would like to do it again. I really loved when we went to Sana's aunts kimono shop and we tryed some on.
Mountain Walk
Today we went to a gigantic mountain. We visited a shrine on the way up the mountain. We got lunch from 7-11 again. The food is not very nice, but if we buy lunch, we get a snack for every bit of substancial lunch we bought.

My Host Family Experience- Camryn
My host family was super kind and funny. They made me feel comfortable and we had a lot of fun together. They cooked some amaking food. My favourite was a noodle curry. My favourite snack had to be the little biscuit sticks, with chocolate and sprinkles to dip them into. We NEED to have them in Australia. The grandma got me a whole bag of food from Tokyo also. we did so many fun activites after school.
One was Mana's dance class. I got to dress up in a kimono. Aparently I am a good dancer. At the end the teacher gave me a gift for doing so well. she gave me a origami kit. On the last day they said I could keep the kimono and I was so suprised. One night we played with some fireworks. They are way cooler then the ones in Australia. On the last day, we went to this potery place where I made some pretty dodgy plates. After that we went to a shopping mall where we went in these really cool photo booths aswell as an arcade. We also did a bit of shopping. I was SO happy that they liked their gifts.
I had an amazing host family experience and I will never forget it.
